Maurice Lacroix presents a new interpretation of his famous PONTOS model. The PONTOS S Chronograph, equipped with chronograph, day and date indications, sumptuous details and a spider-proof ceramic bezel, combines elegance and deporte, two seemingly opposite worlds, to create a design that merges them and adapts them to any occasion. The PONTOS S Chronograph features a dial with a sandy finish, available in two colours: silver white or dark blue. The hours and minutes needles are partially heated and coated with Super-LumiNova®. Faceted and applied indices indicate the hours, which shine with strength with the slightest presence of light. Between each index and the minutes rail is a small rectangle of SLN that facilitates legibility in low light conditions. This rail features a combination of crisp lines and number of red Arabicas, which optimize general legibility. At first glance, the dial seems to have only two counters arranged along a north-south axis. However, when examining the design, you can observe a small seconds at 9 hours and an indicator of the day and date in opposite position, all of them easy to read. The main counters consist of a 30-minute record located at 12 hours and a 12-hour record underneath, each of them equipped with quarries and framed with snailed details. The design team of Maurice Lacroix has enriched the composition with numerous elements, presenting components of the sphere at different heights and using the colors to improve the owner's experience. The bezel is scratch-proof ceramic and is equipped with a tachymeter, a function that allows the user to determine the speed of an object at a deter-mined distance. This enhances the sporting character of watch and, at the same time, it provides a classic and retro look.
